That Rubik's Cube

When I bought it,
It was perfect.
Every color to its own,
This is what I thought I owned.
Perfection in a square,
But that sign I didn’t read said, “Beware”.
As I began to toy with it,
I forgot where it originally began.
The confusion was all because of my two hands.
I went to blame the Maker.
I wouldn’t believe I changed the colors.
It had to be perfect again.
I wanted it to rank a ten.
The more I tried to fix it;
The more I destroyed it.
I thought to myself, “This simply won’t do!”
“With this cube, I’m just about through!"
I went to the manufacturer a second time.
In His voice there was a gentle chime,
But I threw a tantrum and told Him to fix it.
He tried to tell me the equation.
The equation to fix this situation,
A scrambled Rubik’s Cube
With a violent outburst I exclaimed, “Just give me a new!”

Needless to say this was my life, mankind.
It was perfect until pride we did find.
The story of my life;
The truth behind the entire world’s growing strife.
Our Maker tries to show us the way,
But we choose not to listen.
We turn away.
It’s an argument to the One who’s given so much to us,
For we neglect to see our life was perfect until we began to fuss.

Now the colors are all mixed.
It can be fixed,
But not until we humble ourselves;
Call that helpline.
Ask for a lifeline.
Listen to the Maker.
Be a giver and not a greedy taker.
We’ll get the equation.
Although we made the violation,
He’ll fix our Rubik’s Cube,
And He’ll change our point of view.

Next time think before you act.
From that equation don’t add or subtract;
It’s a sequence of actions.
Slow down at all the fractions;
Follow through on His every request.
One wrong move will ultimately change the rest.
Don’t get caught up in the rush!
Don’t try to change the colors with a paintbrush!
Leave the Rubik’s Cube to God!
Trust Him to fix all the things flawed.
