Death

You leave your family and friends

behind when your soul

passes on to the next life

this would be a reason to fear death.

But the main reason most people fear

death is because they do not know

what is really going to happen to them

when they pass on.

Perhaps they will just hang

in limbo because they have no

where else to go or perhaps not

it might be quite easy for someone.

Another possible reason would be

the thought of death actually scares

people because they don't want to

know the out come of it.

But these are just possiblities and

i personally do not know for sure

because death really isn't something

to fear because it will happen.

Everyone at one point or another

will die and yes of course there will

be tears from your family and friends

but also they will rejoice in their hearts.

You wont be suffering in the world that we

created for ourselves because we couldn't

figure out how to live without the temptations

of ruling other people.

Yes animals have an alpha but that

doesn't change the fact that we

don't change our habits. So dying really

isn't a bad idea when it gets out of this world.

Author notes

I'm not quite sure this is what you were looking for but its a view on both the good and bad sides of death perhaps. I personally do not fear death. When it comes i will relish it.

Okay again great poem well written stanza's nice wording. With that said rather then critic I queston. What if, I didn't know what was going on around ma and that's the only reason I'm scared of death? And what if, my only fear is the pain and me not being able to take go towards the pain like the inability to pick up a hefty weight? (Don't like these questions be an introduction of my ideas or give you any idea, lol, nah umm, don't let the answer be finite) Again great write!

Excellent. You know anymore I do not fear death anymore either. After losing my son the pain is worse living then it would be I believe in just dying. You did an incredible joy of expressing the feelings you have about death and what it may feel like, look like and so forth. Thank you for sharing your gift to write poetry with me and best wishes to you in the contest.

    Blessings,
    Kelle Marie
