Who I was
is who I'll stay.
The kid I was
will never fade.
I know I am young
but I know how I feel.
Love is powerful
and so very real.
It is not to be messed with
or handled without care.
So please do not pretend with me
or my heart with surely tear.

This one I wrote back in high school referring to a relationship I had in middle school that I believed was love. People said I changed, feelings were hurt and years later came this poem. I hope you like it

but I know how I feel." --> those lines are very true and well penned; few people acknowledge that at any age we can experience emotions and "love". It sounds as though you were very aware and that is what counts
