La Vie

21:45 28 October 2009 Wednesday
M: Undecipherable
P: Living Room

Across stars, pass the moon, into Earth
See, and you'll find life
.
  .
. A walk way, a million footsteps old and still, new
A bridge of imperfection between having soul and losing it
A simple visit decades-old lost in a second immortal

Yet, we connect like atoms to create complex formulas
Some to sell, some to keep, but mostly for no reason

We act like anxiolytics, slowing down our world, at times
To enjoy chimney-fire moments that fuel our minds,
To touch love and find its skin replacing ours,
To simply breathe the air the person next to us is breathing
This beauty is simply unparalleled, how can violence have a say?
How can we drive our lives without insurance and liability?

Across our hearts, passed our eyes, into Others
Hear, and you'll find life
.
  .
.A nothing into someone, never to be repeated
An idea of what we can be, nothing or substantially something
A basic right time-old that everyone takes a lifetime to hold

Yet, without a notion of green trees and genocide,
We learn to behave, knowing not behavior or consequence

We act like strangers, befriending strangers, friends with time
To live beyond our existence and let their words be ours,
To mesh and entwine wine and liquor, we simply are that intoxicating,
However, our efforts prove blending, an art, sober and selfless
Handing our minds to be read, our insides to be used, our knees to be scraped
This humanity, this life is unmatched, how can violence have a say?
How can we drive our lives without responsibility and wisdom?

Across the world, pass any continent, into homes
You know there is life
.
  .
.Walls of protection and portraits, diverse and rich
Rooms that speak volumns of what you'll never know about them
Knowledge, history, culture... How can violence have a say?
How can we live or die without noticing that we aren't immigrants?

Across your views, pass your prejudice, such is life,
And life alone, a perfect imperfect of will or unwillingness

    EXCELLENTLY magnific...

An analytical cerebrating on the indifferent ignorant fanatic society of ours. "La Vie" takes the pictures of ERIS and ARES, as it shows the colors of HUMANITY.

I have learned through the reading of "La Vie". A poem that adds value to Poetry.

    In respect and admiration,

    Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU

    • Why thank you Sir Andre, I do appreciatiate your understanding of the matter and how true it is. I was trying to teach but I'm grateful and surprised that, I, at 22, can teach someone anything, but I humbly accept.

      With all gratitude and appreciation,
      Kristy
