crackling and popping
its this risk we took to

this one last chance to go beyond
what's cheap and empty
beyond cheap fluorescent lights and
and innocent whispers
that chance to live without regret
no past or future to fear
it is here now, that chance to not look back
this glory and this hope
it is a song the moonlight sings
caressing our glowing skin
exposing hidden shadows
chance to trust your soul
grab hold of the hungry monster inside you
it is a candle that has never burned
a candle that you lit and watched
the wax of the past burn to reveal
what was the future is now here and real
it is the one chance we have
to know; to let go finally
to believe our silhouette can contrast
the orange sunset
to believe what is right and rare
to know that we are here
and today is the only day
tonight is the only night
it is here forever
it is the harmony of music
the song we sing together
dissonant chords that merge
when we hear each other's voices
words that effortlessly rhyme
it is the passion
explosive and incendiary
that we should not be afraid
to light on fire
it is the 10 million fireflies that will
ignite the night with a passionate flame
the blinking traffic lights and lamp posts
the headlights and brake lights
the glimmer in every lover's eye
the pale white moon
they will all send an incandescent
and multicolored glow down upon us

I like the poem. -
I like the overarching concept in this... that love is all about taking a chance. I like this one better than your original "diving into an abyss" poem. You've improved upon that idea.
The non-capitalized first lines are setting off my OCD though lol. Was that intentional -
you've got alot of talent. this piece paints a vivid and quite lovely picture of love. excellent job with the imagery! i especially like the second to last stanza. keep up the great work.
