I don't feel pretty without makeup
Even then I still feel pathetic
Trying to hide beneath it all
Why try if you know you're going to fail?
No one's beautiful when they're bleeding mascara
I don't deserve this capacity to feel
Other times I wish I would remain numb
Swimming in the blackness underneath it
No one can hurt you when nothing is real
Yet your words hurt
And things change over time
