tucked safely in the earth
soul tucked safely in heaven
a most unlikely angel
watches over us
how I long to see his face
if the fearless die
and the reckless brought down
what will become of us
who hide from our lives?

be with me always
stay over my shoulder
and whisper in my ear

I recently attended the funeral of a family friend who passed suddenly in a freak motorbike accident and the pain is still raw for his family so I found myself in a flash flood of tears reading this because the emotions are the same here; beautifully penned, truly
