Why is it
That whenever we get close
Something throws us apart?
It hurts me so
When I see that broken heart
Oh my sis
I'm so sorry for what Ive done
How I cant protect you
No matter how hard I try
Its always burning me up
To see you in pain
And to see you
Slowly drifting away
I try to hide it
These pains I feel
But theres nothing
I can keep from you
I'm so sorry
I couldn't hold you tonight
I'm so sorry
That you must deal with it all
But I cant stop my instincts
My sense of right
When I see your pain
I always pray
For it to go away
Just to see you happy
For one more day
I can't describe
These things I feel
You
Who has done so much
So many things so righteous
A heart so pure
I care for all that so
And I wish to see
You continue on
A careless spirit
So give up your pain
Your worry and suffering
Give it all to me
So free yourself
Break the chains of your suffering
I know how strong you are
And run from this prison
A care free spirit
Shining bright
So break free
My wonderful sis

    aww such a sad but good poem. i really liked the entire thing actually. and well, i'd never say anything like this to my brother, nor would i expect him to say anything like this to me, but i guess, subconciously, thats the way alot of siblings would feel.
