Find yourself, but never forget,
The people you love, the friends you’ve found.
You may go, but, when needed, they’ll be around.
They get you through the dark, they help you find your way.
Make you feel safe and sound, make sure you’ll be okay.
Get you out of the shadow, and back into the sun.
They’ll get you through your sorrow, ‘cause life has just begun.
They’ll always be there, won’t turn their back on you.
Just don’t forget them, and they’ll always get you through
the trouble you managed, to get yourself into.
Close the world, open the next.
Do what you have to, but don’t you forget,
What the meaning is of friendship, much more than you can know.
Cause how rare true friends are, gets clear when they decide to go.
They’re the most precious thing on earth, they shine brighter than the sun.
When you’re lost inside the darkness, they won’t give up until they won.
You can be the person you are, cause they don’t want you to just blend in.
You can’t be anyone else but you, cause they know when you’re pretending.
There’s a reason they like you, it’s not about your clothes or style.
But about the soul within, or the way you make them smile.
Real friends aren’t made but found, and they are certainly worthwhile.
So go ahead, and see what’s coming next.
But remember the ones you should never forget.
Cause you might survive, but however it’s bent,
Life will be much harder, without some true friends.
Cause they’re like mortal angels, your own guardians each day.
They listen when you speak, hearing what you refuse to say.
They are your pair of wings, they keep you soaring high.
Safe you from hitting ground, and lift you to the sky.
So make sure you keep them close, and they will stay, always.
They’re watching over you, any given time and place.
Just try to be their angel too, till the very end of days...
