The belief is real and love so deep
it's just the promise that's hard to keep.
I try so hard to be all I can be.
Sorry God for my inferiority.
I read God's words and see the signs.
So hard to keep things between the lines.
I start out strong and full of God's Grace
yet end up hurt with egg on my face.
Temptations so many, don't know what to do.
I hear the lies, but know truth is with you.
Where's the world going, see such dismay.
Can't ever believe what others say.
They have their reasons for their disbelief.
Say a real God wouldn't cause so much grief.
I try to tell them it's not what they think.
That God's love is true, we're the weak link.
Our grief is caused by the things that we do.
Life everlasting is the promise from you.
It's just not given, something we must take.
By they life that we lead, the decisions we make.
So I make the promise to follow my heart.
To stay on the path when the waters part.
To have faith in God not what others think.
Witness for God and not be the weak link.

Faith is something that each person must find for themselves. Others can help you to know, but they cannot make you believe. God is not something you can see or touch, but something you must have faith in! God bless you and everyone in your lives!

great expression
Self examination in relation to my walk in love brings me a lot of doubt. I wonder how I am doing all the time and yet this brings further questioning. Where I condemn myself for the things I do. But today I realised that all I have to remember is that I am dead to the Law of sin through His blood and alive to the Law of the Spirit of Life. So there is no condemnation for me anymore because of his abounding grace.

The poem was excellent and reminded me that god is a loving god, when the road seems hard it's because we aren't paying attention and asking for guidance. I have a very strong faith in god and appreciate others who have faith as I do. Thank you so much for your thoughts in this poem!!!

I will say that here lately, my faith has been SORELY tested and tried but I hope that when it's all said and done, I will be found to be faithful and true
