Stories of forgotten lore
Of images carved in stone
And washed by the muddy river
Emancipating age from within
Depths of timeless remnants
Evicting the shame from its halls
A dynasty they called home
Insist on burning ages

great last line
i feel you did the poem justice with that last line.
thanks for entering -
This poem will probably be the the shortest piece being only 9 lines long. And it shows us all how to pack an explosion of concise and exciting thought into a small package... This touches me on at a very basic level of human existence... the concept of individuality creating an ultimate universe! I hope I ain't gettin' too weird but I find this piece quite profound.
Emancipating age from within
Depths of timeless remnants
Evicting the shame from its halls
A dynasty they called homeThis stanza really gets to me since I am an "old guy" and often feel that it IS liberating to examine my life... what good and bad I have done with it. A freeing from the prison of age. Don't know if that was your intent, but that's what I got from it. Great Job!
