Those grey shades not seen,
where meaning we can glean.
Olive and lavender swirled,
so true meaning is unfurled.
Blue blood, red not by gene
Oxygen changes it, not to green.
Away can all color be hurled?
If someone did take away the lens
Clarity and meaning does stray.
No more use for colored pens,
What does any of this convey?
There are no more colors for friends,
We can only see the world in shades of grey.
Author notes
Prompt:
song - handlebars;; flobots.
two truths and a lie:
blood is red when it hits oxygen, but blue when in the body.
black isn't a colour.
lavender oil makes your brain bigger.
Haha, I wrote the poem during Calc. 3
I tried to incorporate the two truths and one lie in some way.
