needing cool water on my back
as much as your warmth
laying near me
at three in the morning
when all i hear
is breathing
and planes flying overhead
it is nearing the end soon
of autumn leaves
anticipation of winter frost
and unique flakes
drifting
sometimes melting on my lips
while others survive the heat from my eyes
and i look back
only to step forward
wondering when i will see you once again
