A breath of love is life to heart
to reach beyond the sky,
a dance performed with steps so light
to beat in vast supply.
It then becomes the air we breathe
and resonate the heart,
with feelings that are warm and true
forever, from the start.
The world is filled with scented smiles
that laugh and sing devotion,
to sail within this cherished life
expressed with deep emotion.
But if that love should fade away
an emptiness invades
and hope that filled life's every word
shatters and betrays.
Where skies held flowers swaying buds
that burst with soft perfume,
what's left is now a void of loss
now buried in a tomb.
When love has gone the world is bleached
with heaviness and grief,
leaving dreams in fading light
stolen like a thief.
The future now a withered rose
a canvas of unfilled space,
so lost between the sun and moon
a hopeless, silent space.
