Religious Questions

1. Simply, what is your religion/religious beliefs?  Simply put, I am a Christian.

2. Do you feel comfortable with this belief or believe you should walk a different path? If you feel your path should be elsewhere, where do you feel you would be most comfortable?  I am very comfortable. 

3. Describe in a short paragraph what you feel is the difference between religion and spirituality.  In the world view, spirituality generally is a belief system encompasses nature and one's inner being.  Religion is the form of faith that one practices.  Faith is the belief system itself.

4. How do you feel about religious intolerance? Is there only one set of beliefs that should exist; or do you accept that each individual is entitled to their own beliefs? Moreso, would you accept that person into your life even with a different view?  I am tolerant of other's beliefs.  I may not agree with them, but I do uphold their right to believe as they see fit.  I do believe there is only one path for eternity, but that is my personal belief based on what I get from the Bible.  While I would accept someone of a totally different faith as a friend, I could not live with someone who does not believe as I do.  I say this from personal experience; it causes too many problems in a relationship that deals with enough problems.  We worked our out, but it was not easy.

5. I would like for you to quote me one religious/spiritual quote (does not have to be biblical) and interpret it into your own thoughts.  "God will not punish anyone; He loves all of His children."  To me, that defeats the whole concept of setting one's self apart from the world.  In my faith, we are to be in the world (living side-by-side, in a civil and loving way, with those who do not believe) but not of the world (living the way non-believers live)  It is all about dicipline.  And, if there are no consequences for wrong-doing, what is the point of trying to live a good and holy life?
