Tuesday morning
I forgot to go
to work.
there was a chill
outside
and my girlfriend
was still
naked
from the
previous night.
She looked at me
all sleepy-eyed
and sexy
with her
naked shoulders
showing
above the covers
and said,
“Stay.”
I couldn’t
for the life of me
think of a
reason
to go.

Good man.

Very nice, clean, clear, evocative poem. It is raining today and my girl friend isn't working. I wonder what the hell I am doing at work. Does this constitute an industrial accident? Can I collect Labor and industry benefits?

Sounds like you're in the wrong place at the wrong time... the workplace (any workplace I've known) doesn't recognize that type of stress as an accident. If they did, I would've been on workman's comp years ago! Thanks for the comments.

Good for you...
I love this one. To the point, and perfect.

-
hehehehe i love moments like this
fantastic.

-
Oh my God.
I had my suspicions that you might infact be a genius...
Now I know. This is flawless. Stunning. Evocative... And all those other words that mean sheer brilliance.
Hello bookmark.

-
Geesh. This is about the time a girl throws up her hands and wonders why she does not think so brilliantly.

-
This is absolutely perfect. That very situation has happened to me too many times to count lol...I'm surprised I have never been fired from a job as I can not say no to naked women. It is almost as if I lose all reason/rationale. Well put.
thanks for entering!
