midnight romeos
and sweet dreams
contaminated.
Broken promises,
and chaos,
with felicity.
I wanted
some new air.

"Broken promises,
and chaos,
with felicity." ......... reminds me of the Winston Churchill quote, about how optimists see the opportunity in every difficulty. Then, what could be more fortunate and joyous than opportunity ... the wellspring for self-growth, shaping and wisdom?"I wanted
some new air."
... a change of scene, an emergence from a rut, a new hue for the sky, a new look, or a simple yet profound sign to show time has moved on and that the tiredness of being in one place in oneself (or in one's surroundings et al) for too long is fading, that something new by way of possibility is unfurling, can really be all a heart could wish for at times. A simple, achievable wish that we need often await no coming of magic or miracle to come true.I liked this Josh, and have placed it in my new List of poems by others which I like and recommend to those who visit my space on AP. Hope it'll bring you some more readers over time
