Fled Chance

The World is not all kind
The Love is not all Lust
In this World it's hard,
Hard to trust anyone.

To awake while asleep
To Breathe while dead
Is to feel pain, heartache
A bottomless pit of flame

We are all here to live;
We are all here to die,
but not all of us are here
Will you be here for me?

I am always around, here
I am a phone call, message
I am the person in thought
when everything else stops

Second chances don't die;
but they do escape, pass by
Tears crack down my face
Like lightning! Water stings

If only my soul could be whole
but it's not my fault it's yours
you lie, you cheat, you are
truly the meaning of deceit

I will feel no remorse because
I know I tried will all my heart
When everything was breaking
I was there to help the tearing

When everything was wrong,
I turned around made it right
Then you left me like a thief
into the night with nothing.

You left me with nothing,
but memories stabbing me
Their blood will haunt you,
Your second chance has fled.

    Wow, I like the wording of this poem. Its just so amazing and whats even better is the fact that it is true. I went down that long daunting road so long ago. But now things are better. Bravo on the poem and keep up the good work!
