I found a stack
Of girlie magazines
In the trash
Outside an apartment
When I was fourteen
Delivering newspapers
One day.
I jerked off to those magazines
For the next three years.
One page.
Maybe two a day.
To keep it fresh
To keep it exciting.
And so it has been all my life.
I had the luck to be born
Into a sexually innocent,
Sexually repressed world
That has gotten ever more depraved
and explicit year after year
Ever since.
First there was leg art
Then naked boobs,
Than pubic hair,
Than No pubic hair,
Than gynecology school,
And so it has gone
Till now every conceivable sexual act
Is on display somewhere.
I don’t care so much for myself
I am an old man
A certain world weariness
Is appropriate
To my age.
But what are young people
Who have seen and done it
All by the time they are thirty
Going to do for thrills
When they get old?

Oh yes - it's a long long trail from the innocence of the first Playboy centrefolds to now. Perhaps it's more healthy for the younger generations to have had the mystique of sex exploded . Perhaps they're not as vulnerable to manipulation, and therefore sad life choices based on hormone reactions. I'm not convinced though.
