Monday Morning (a memorial)

When I think back to that monday morning
Tears fill my eyes and my heart starts yerning
Never forget all the lessons I learned
From that man we let go on that monday morn

When you're knocked down
Fight that much harder
One step back, and two steps forward
These are the things that I learned from my father
Gave me the strength to brave every storm

...work in progress

Author notes

9:50pm Wed Oct 21,2009, We lost dad to a two year bout with cancer. It was his wish to be cremated, and was buried the next monday morning. I dont know where this beat came to me out of nowhere, but I think he'd like it.

I could see it with hints of country - but more something that can be even used you singing and having a piano in the background with this.

You can always fall back to soft rock.

You know what I'd rate this without even needing any of these applauds.
