But if I told you this was true,
would you then take a hold of me,
and swear though a loving smile,
that you and I could someday be,
latched as one but still truly free?
Others My Dear may take your heart,
but if I told you this was true,
would you listen hovering near,
so potions labeled love will brew,
letting your heart to start a new?
If you should never fall for me,
others My Dear may take your heart,
to drag your love into the sun,
where sweet new loves will always start,
and you and she shall never part.
I would not chase or fallow you,
if you should never fall for me,
for it hurts when you see me cry,
but one day Dear when you are free,
I hope that you could think of me.
