Words(bronze)

Missing image
On the tip of my finger
ready to plunge with a rush of passion;
veins filled,
flowing with intensity,
like a river to the source;
blank parchment.

Falling over each other
with a desire to be read,
the words jostle and laugh
to swirl upon poetry's pages.

There are winks of beauty
and frozen images of pain,
screams and laughter
fall from humility's pen.

They are a rainbow of colours
that smile and prance
across the stage of life's dance,
Words are a map of my thoughts,
scents of my life,
in lines of my own inspiration.

Insignificant to some,
yet a blissful release
of shards of hidden anger
and the discovery
of fine friendships.

Curling and twisting
revelations of the soul,
flutter the innocent words
of a bright eyed dreamer.

    Yummy, yummy, yummy!

You have captured this piece three-fold!

One; you have managed to use the 'bigger picture' graphic and penned a beautiful poem about all that which inspires our 'writer's hand'.

Two; you have captured the inner 'veins' of the graphic with 'words falling over each other, jostling and laughing' and

Three; you have provided me a 'sweet read', flowing rhythmically, with delicious metaphors like
"They are a rainbow of colours
    that smile and prance
across the stage of life's dance" (I loved the unannounced rhyme in here too)

Thank you for entering my competition!

Excellent-must agree. Talent and skill shine through. But loveliest of all is the you within these words. Very, very nice work!

On, you have captured the nature of those eager words,
made them dance to your will---and best of all---
shared that anticipation of the confrontation,
the joyous moment of words on the page!!!

    I enjoyed your creation immensely!
