She is wild with a fiery passion burning,
Eyes of smoke and smile like glimmer moon.
Voice that makes you dream of distant oceans,
Eastern girl gone away too soon,
Sometimes you see her walking near the forest,
Talking to the wind and ferny fronds,
Whispering her secrets to the pine trees,
Plucking waterlillies from the pond.
Sometimes in the evening comes a sweet song
First it sounds like wind that lost its way,
But no it's just a dark-eyed girl singing,
As the greenish twilight comes to take the day,
Child of the golden leaves and grasses
Smokey eyes that cast an amber glow....
Fairies call to her because they know her
Eastern girl has a fairy soul....
