Here we drowse on a cold winter's morning,
the warmth of our bodies close together.
Beyond the window comes the glow of dawn,
and your gentle touch, soft as a feather.
Your eyes shine with reflected golden light
in the uncertain sun's first morning glow.
You give me comfort through the lonely nights
when thoughts are dark, and new fears start to grow.
I feel a sigh of love for you so dear
and deep caring within this gentleness.
How the world seems safer when you are near
and reaching out so softly to caress.
And now, a soft meeow; I smell a rat.
For is this love, or just a hungry cat?

Such a tender love poem
until the last 2 lines you sure fooled me.
Never mind it is still a lovely sonnet and who knows one day it will not apply to a cat...
