Eerily the song holds onto them.
Like a lover softly caressing.
Nearer and nearer to jagged rocks
Their vessel floats, uncaringly.
As the arms now holds them
The ship disintegrates to rubble
Now screams drown out the song
Men sink to their death.
Beauty now captures one,
Holds him close to her bosom
Stroking his face while smiling
He surrenders to death in her arms.
Down to the floor of sand and shell
She lays him down gently
Kissing the smile on his face
For Ula is Neptune’s jewel.
Man hears the Siren’s song
That ends in screaming death
In final awareness beauty arrives
To aid men to a watery grave.

This was a truly lovely write. I really enjoyed it greatly. You have done a wonderful job with both the name and the meaning behind the name. Thank you for sharing and Thank you for entering. The two stanza's I put up there are truly the highlight of the whole poem
