Inside the walls of Jezreel
A beautiful sacrifice
The harlot will be fed to the beasts
The flea-ridden, raging mongrels
She will be welcomed by their rabid mouths
Her flesh torn to shreds
Her bones split in two
Her teeth gnashed against the rocks
As she screams out to god for mercy
But the whore must be punished
The whore
Must
Pay
For the sins of the men
The dogs shall eat Jezebel
Devour her inside the walls of Jezreel
The dogs shall eat Jezebel
They will feast upon her sin
They will leave nothing for the vultures
No rotting flesh for the maggots to crawl through
They will eat and drink of her body
Then leave the swine to gnaw on the bones
Author notes
Inspired by 1 Kings 21:23. Although, this is not how Jezebel was murdered, the words "the dogs shall eat Jezebel" really stuck with me... and this is what came of it.
And when I say "vultures", "maggots" and "swine", I'm not necessarily talking about the creatures themselves...
