Breathing

Wake up, it's just another day.
I wake up and its just another high,
Just another pill or another hit.
supplying me with happiness
I need to see the sky again
But these dark clouds never go away.

It's been so long since I've seen the sun in your eyes.
The thunder's coming and the rain is downing.
But I'm too gone to see I'm drowning.

You don't have to be breathing, to be alive.
Because I'll always see you, in the sky.
The stars told me you'd always be here,
were they wrong?
were they wrong?

40 days and 40 nights,
even my shadow has left with the sunlight,
I'm still waiting for my eyes to close
so I can dig my grave again tomorrow night.

It's been so long since I've been strong.
And so long since you've given me what i need to survive.
You were so strong.

You don't have to be breathing, to be alive.
Because I'll always see you, in the sky.
The stars told me you'd always be here,
were they wrong?
were they wrong?

Will the sun ever come out again?
or am I stuck in the same old basement waiting
for you, to help me see?
