you cut through the tension
with a blade of my words in your mouth
repeating the same old shit I said before.
"we don't belong together, why are we wasting each other's time?"
we were two people who were tied together
by lustful desires and the unlucky failures
of unhappy compainionship.
the two lonliest people
make the most ugliest lovers.
trapped in our depression and hatred for each other
but more importantly ourselves.
you were nothing more than a inner desire
wrapped in shear ingorance that maybe you could love me
and I could love you back.
ex-lover from a time ago
i wish i could forget you and tuck you away
with memories that stain the canvas of my mind.
there are tiny focus of times that past events
creep into my psyche.
it's always the good days,
the days when you looked at me, not her.
but slowly as i start to realise
I was nothing more than a stepping stool.
you used me when it was conveient.
she will always have your heart.
and I, was a mere lover
not your love.
feeble and weak, looking for adventure
found heartbreak instead.

thanks so much. the irony of this piece is that I don't love or let me say, I have never loved my ex-lover, I just was heartbroken. I'm actually quiet happy and in love with an amazing guy. So your advice is pretty right on. I followed both and left my ex-lover for an love.
