From The Voice And Heart Of A Soldier
I am sitting here writing this poignant letter
You see there is a chance I may lose my life
To all my amazing family and loved ones
I am so honoured to have you all in my life
Dad please know you are one great father
You always taught me how to be a man
I am immensely proud to be your son
You are not just my dad but my best man
Mum I am so lucky to have you as a mother
You always taught me right from wrong
I would not change a thing about you
You are one reason why I stay strong
My darling beautiful angel in this world
My heart, soul my loving wife I love you
I remember our unique wedding day and
I feel the luckiest man you make me true
My beautiful special son and daughter
I am so proud and happy to be your dad
I remember the day you were born so well
My precious little lass and my little lad
If you ever read this then I will be gone
But please know I'm Always With You
I want you to be happy and live life
I will always be watching over you

I can see where a soldier might write this. Very sad and emotional. I can feel your dedication and support to our troops. Thank you. Good poem.

So glad to be reading this poem as our Remembrance Day comes on Nov.11th here in Canada.Even though the picture is of an American soldier, I feel the same about all serving their country for the cause of peace..This is a lovely write in rhyme and flow, Hazel.. You are young with a big heart...Keep your pen in the ink well...
