a Golden Finch In a Lemon Tree

As I walk by the stream
I pause
I am stareing at my reflection
as I fix my hair
The water ripples clearly
as you see fresh water pearls
Beautiful autumn leaves
all over the ground
all around
A golden finch in a lemon tree
his wings
are fluttering in the breeze
Evening comes so fast
you hear nothing
in the silence of the night

I think this form is called cento. Somehow you have managed to put the pieces together in a beautiful verse.

Over all, I think you've summed up perfectly, what seems like an excellent title. Good on you.

The silence of this time of year as everything readies for winter and what it brings. It is the resting time. The prelude to the coming Spring. It takes time to rest and prepare for the rebirth in Spring and the hecktic pace and ravages of Summer.
Thank you for sharing your well written poem, it is beautiful. It flows sweetly slike a Fall stream, a little slower than in the Spring.
