And I Cried

I was holding it in
for so long
trying to be strong.

All of my pain
was hidden deep
I never looked sad
I didn't weep.

I couldn't cover it for long
that I was feeling ashen
for a friend that had
so much compassion.

I thought I was doing well
going about dry-eyed
but suddenly I broke down,
and I cried.

    This was a really good poem. Great rhyming scheme you have here.

    great emotions it is a very good poem i know the feelingd i hate when you feel like you are doing ok and then you just break down in public, it totally shatters your facade
