Those beautiful girls toss their hair,
They spend hours on their make-up,
They wear revealing clothes,
They get all the boys,
Is that really what our society has come to?
Being afraid of the skanky ditzes who only care about themselves?
I think popularity is overrated any way;
Working so hard so you don't
Say the wrong thing,
Wear the wrong thing,
Date the wrong boy,
Like the wrong things,
The funny thing about popularity is the hardest part isn't getting in,
It's staying in.
Besides,
I have way too much fun being myself to want to change to become popular,
I can wear what I want,
Do what I want,
Date who I want,
And best of all,
I can be who I want
What did you think

Welcome to All Poetry, I hope you're liking it so far. Thank you for sharing your poetry with us!

I really like this poem because you're speaking you're mind, not afriad to speak the truth. The repetitions/parallel structures (e.g. in lines 2 - 4) you've used in this piece work really well to emphasize your point in my opinion.
I hope you continue sharing your works with the community.
Keep on writing!
Annie
