A wondrous stillness in the air,
Tantalizing scents everywhere,
Of chocolate, cherries, peppermint;
Scenes of elaborate embellishment,
Gold, lace, silver, velvet, pearl,
Textures decorate our world,
In darkest cerulean nights
Lit by a million twinkling lights.

Liked the rhythm, rhymem and imagery in these lines. Yes, CHristmas will be coming before you know it. No matter how old we get, we still like the bright lights, the songs and the festivities this season brings - easy to read and understand the thoughts you share with the readers of this peom. Puts us in a pre Christmas spirit.

Vivid imagery within this well-penned piece with excellent flow to the rhyming verse---
That reminds me---I have to do my Christmas shopping earlier this year!
