I followed her down to that bridge by the fountain,
passed through the turnstile up to the Looking Glass Mountain.
Up there with those people eating their marshmallow pies,
and I danced with a girl seeing through kaleidoscope eyes.
Ran through a forest 'neath tangerine trees,
with honeysuckle songbirds and robin egg bees.
Floated down a river past flowers and flies,
saw the girl on the shore with the sun in her eyes
Can I take a newspaper taxi to this distant land,
fashioned by God in the shape of his hand?
Someone calls me from yon distant marmalade skies,
It's that girl with the prism of color in her eyes.
