I put on my black shirt,
I put on my black skirt,
I put on my black shoes.
I am ready for the funeral.
I cry smearing my make-up,
Yet I am the only once there,
Staring at the coffin.
Who is it that I grieve?
Who is this funeral?
I grieve for my broken heart.
So yes today,
I put on my black shirt,
I put on my black skirt,
I put on my black shoes.
I am ready for the funeral.
Yesterday my heart broke,
Today is the funeral.
