For thousands of years I have roamed
Walked through this darkness alone
Centuries of souls haunt my past
Beating inside my vampire heart….
There’s no escape for what Ive become
This immortal life I have succumbed
Never again will I see the light of day
Doomed in darkness I live again
Amongst the shadows its time to hunt
Searching for blood to flow through these veins
A mortal heart I have long since possessed
Deceived my soul and died a horrible death
Beating inside this vampire heart
Is the soul that the devils grasped?
Bound in chains he will not set me free
Even god has deserted me
For thousands of years I have roamed
In endless nightmares of my own
There is no changing the centuries that have passed
I must live with this dead

Powerful write, Belle. This was great to read with Halloween coming up. I thought the part of God deserting the vampire was powerful. It makes me think of how not only are the vampires like the undead, but also how they may feel alone and deserted. Congrats on the honorable trophy.

Well this is 2 my likin VERY much. I like how the heart is dead but still beating like blood flowing like its still breathing. It is interesting its like ur doomed in darkness neva 2 see the light of day only seeing the dark that lights ur night away.
