To those who on this Earth do roam
That I, a Satan's minion true
Will hereby take thy soul from you.
You mortals now must take your heed.
You're doomed if down this page you read.
By reading on you do agree
To now consign your soul to me
For one small coin soon to be found
By you; loose, laying on the ground.
The moment that you take your pay
Your soul is mine; that very day.
The only way you can deny
This fate is, let the coin there lie.
Pick any coin you did not earn
And feel the Hellfire start to burn.
This covenant I hereby seal.
Pick up a coin; complete the deal.

Hee! Okay, I truley love what you are doing with this piece. I like the almost "contract" rhythm... and the rhythm along with the rhyme is for me the highlight of the piece. It really suggests an a playfulness to this "pact with the Devil." AND I also love how you take this basic instinct that man has to "pick up" a penny into something diabolical! I will never look at a penny on the ground the same way ever again.
I also enjoy the idea that this reads somewhat like a chain letter I got just this morning promising me bad luck if I didn't send it along its way to ten friends of mine.
Very unique approach to the prompt.
