Getting straight A's in school, going to a great college, meeting a great guy, those are all dreams a normal girl would hope for
Mine aren't as complicated this you'll understand soon
For I wasn't raised to dream for much not much at all
When I daydream in class it is in hopes that I'll make it to tomorrow not dreaming about getting the last prada bag in the store
Surviving through the night has always been my biggest ambition
With an alcoholic mom and an abusive dad, you never know whether you'll see the dawn breaking over the horizon in the early morning
Dreaming that the food will be enough to keep you sated through the night
I've never asked for much, just a chance to prove them all wrong
I will make it in this great wide world, one day at a time
And if the night should take my soul, I will bow my head and pray, pray that dying was what was best for me

wow it really takes alot for somone to express true emotion, i know how it feas to have an abusive mom and alchi dad that was me at your age too.... but your dream to prove them wrong.... you will i did it just takes strength and you got it..... im proud to take the silver after a true showing of real emotion.
