Paint Me An Autumn

swirling

in soft breezes,

leaves alight their anchors

to splatter bare walkways in bright

rainbows

Author notes

It has been such a long time since I have written a decent cinquain. Many thanks for holding this contest as few have inspired me thus.

Autumn is such a beautiful season.

The background was created using a painting by Jonathan Earl Bowser.

very bold ideas and imagery here, it takes the ordinary and seems to hold it up so that we see the significance, very well done...PK

A very beautiful cinquain that speaks to the autumn season very well. The scene is a lovely one in your words, and you can see the floating colors of the time in each line, thank you so much.
