I ask God to let me keep moving on.
It seems He has ignored all of my cries,
And I wonder; where has He gone?
Why would my Father forsake me now?
As I face all the doubt and dread.
I think to my Father in heaven above,
I am as one who is now dead.
It looks as if God has just disappeared,
While this storm pounds down on me.
Not a trace of Him can I see or feel,
Why no grace has He given to me?
Then I step out from under the storm,
God is shinning brighter than the day.
Then I realized He has not left at all,
It was I who had moved away.
Please tell me what you think

Amen...hits close to home
This has been the cry of so many great men and women of God. Job, Joseph, King David... We may not always see HIM...but if we praise Him in the storm...He will rend the heavens and come down! PTL! -
Amen...and amen-this is a jewel of a poem-full of flavor, passion and more...write on, Z, right on

Amen! Revelation is knowledge, knowledge is power...a message that needs to be given time and time again, those times God is near more than ever, we have moved away like you shared in more times than not in our situations. Excellent write, it also had a flow to it. Blessings.

This is so true! God never leaves us, but we often leave him. This flowed nicely and spoke of the worry and concern and then the joy is discovering what was there all along. good job my friend.

Humm..your last line here is the essence of the message and it brings the truth around ..and brings the message for the soulution as well..well done...

"It was I who have moved away!"....How true, brother...
Even when He seems absent, He is there...
MOofi has given scripture to tell us that David himself had these questions, and yet He too had to learn God was there all the time, as a song says that my brothers used to sing.
It is so good to see you back writing again..Your poetic voice is so important to us here on AP....God bless you in this contest...

David Felt Forsaken By God
David:
"God, you are my strength.
Why have you rejected me?
Why am I sad
and troubled by my enemies?"- Ps. 43:2
Spiritually we can all feel like God has left even if we have a heart after God. It's part of the human experience. I even seem to recall Jesus asking God why He had forsaken Him. To have perfect uninterrupted communion with God is to have something better than heaven.
But then maybe we won't be ready for eternity. We need to see this life is not like the life to come. Heaven is heaven because of perfect fellowship with the One who made and saved us.

You are so right brother, us humans are so up and down that we don't see God sometimes when he is right in front of us.

Thank you, I tried to show the positive of troubles.

yes exactly
We walk away first in thought, then words and actions,
it is not possible to be whole when we walk without God.
Then I step out from under the storm,
God is shinning brighter than the day.
how blessed are we
how beautiful this is
God bless you my friend..
