When I arrived in Forks, I was greeted by guys
but the only thing I saw were your golden eyes.
I thought you didn't like me, I didn't understand.
You attempted to get away, you had it planned.
That's when you realized, you couldn't stay away.
You reappeared again for that one particular day.
Where you were standing, you couldn't have ran,
yet, you were there to protect me from that van.
I figured out that you weren't human, yet I cared.
I could not keep myself from looking, just stared.
You gave me a chance, you showed me yourself.
Although you weren't human, I gave you myself.
You fought against a few vampires to save me,
meanwhile Jasper, Alice, and I tried to go flee.
My guard went down, when I heard my mother.
I escaped two vampires, but went to another.
I fell into the trap, James was waiting for me.
I realized this is how he had planned it to be.
Alone he thought, but I heard as you hissed,
you defeated him but he bit me on the wrist.
Testing your resistance to a sweet temptation,
Carefully stopping that strange transformation.
You became my protecter, my lover, my friend.
You'd never just watch my life come to an end.

The rhyme was fair but it seemed a bit forced. To rhymey if you get what i mean. Don't get me wrong this was a good poem. And a good letter to edward.
Thanks for the entry.
