On Hallow's Eve

Are you ready for a bedtime story
gather close and quieten down
this is a story of frightful things
that still live in the old ghost town

A town that was so full of evil
murder was a daily thing
nothing was sacred in this town
and the devil was definitely king

A young girl of such beauty
roams the streets at night
a bloody gown is what she wears
and her screams will give you a fright

She is hungry and it is not for food
it is your blood she wants
so if you travel to this town
beware of all these haunts

A headless man rides his horse
with hooves of lightning speed
he is searching for his head
he  will take yours and leave you to bleed

An old man with only one eye
is on the lookout for another
so beware my little ones
he can steal yours without much bother

Many a haunt roams this town
looking for someone just like you
so shiver and shake and be afraid
for this story is oh so true

Now it is time for bed
my frightened little boys
close your eyes if you dare
and pretend you don't hear all the noise

I may not be who you think I am

    Splendid...

Write for sure this captures the spirit of the season (Pun Intended) I am glad I stopped in and read this little tale. I like the picture that was presented with the poem it added to the ending line effect and it made the poem complete!
