Misty

Face to the wind,
I think of the times
we jumped off cliffs
together.

Sky clouds,
along with my
memory,
and tears fall
with the autumn rain.

I wonder how I will
make it through
winter without
you as my blanket.

    After having read this one several times, reading the comments, and again rereading the poem, I have to say it IS powerful. I guess Im just too young and ignorant about poetry to really get it the first time. I know I don't have any clue what good poetry is, but that is why I am here, to better myself and to learn.

      There are lots of poems I don't like...and others do...styles too...we all learn from each other...and poetry is like music...either it grabs you...or it doesn't...it's o.k.

    What a beautiful write. I can't choose a part of it I like more than any other. Each verse strikes me deeply... and as short as it is, it's one off the most powerful pieces I've read on this site.
