stepmother nature

I don't like Nature much.

There's such a rush

to judgment on her part.

How do I start? Perhaps

by pointing out the rains,

the floods, the droughts and

other natural mishaps she gingerly,

without a warning dishes out  upon

us human creatures. "Oh," some may cry,

"Mother Nature loves us all..." Yes, my, my!

She surely proved that when she left us here

just mucking about without the fur to warm us with

when winter tickles at our humanities.

How helpless are we, we children of man

who Mother Nature can never understand.

Which reminds me of a funny story...

A snail walks into a bar... Wait,

that's not right! A snail can't walk into a bar...

It's got no Legs!

Author notes

The author of this poem is Profoundly Perturb

by the thought that nature is more advanced than man. Yes, the snail may carry its house upon its back... but it can't write a poem.

for shame... naaaaah just kiddin lol. However, a snail may not be able to write a poem... but no snail is homeless while half our human world is in such a state. I think you are right on in the feeling of this poem toward mother nature. We are essentially mother nature's step children we are left to fend for ourselves more so than any other species for other animalas on this planet are fully equipped with what they need where we have to make it or but it. Anyway, this did give me a good chuckle... especially the end lol.
