and my stare in the mirror brings me back
to myself
the first time i shaved my head
i felt beautiful and empowered
and i guess i just wanted that feeling back
the 21 and loving it feeling
the i have my whole life ahead of me
and hair will grow back as i grow older feeling

I like this write a lot... The striving to return to the confidence and fiery nature of youth! You did this really well, but just one thing... Rock that title with as much confidence as your shaved head! It sounds rather unsure, and sets a bit of a tone.
Which actually is appropriate, given the nature of the write. You do great work. Now you see it for that!

I was the opposite ... the longer it got, the freer I felt. When I got married, I cut it off. When I had a baby, I cut it off. Now that I'm old, I cut it off.
We all have our own symbols of self and freedom, I guess. Mine has hair down past my ass
