I can still feel your touch
As I recall the events
That transpired
That beautiful night
Sitting there
Side by side
Not even touching
Movie one over
Transition to two
More relaxed than before
The slightest touch
Between our arms
Sends an electrical current
Through my veins
Movie two over
Transition to three
Stretch my back
From the long hours
Of uncomfortable lounging
All you said was
"You can lay here"
Motioning towards your chest
My heart skipped a beat
And instantly curled up
Listening to your
Rhythmic heartbeat
With the occasional flutter
It took a while
But eventually you did
Wrap your arm around me
Ever so gently
The movie carried on
My lids drew heavy
Safe in your arms
My heart was protected
Allowing sleep to overcome me
It felt so good
Too good to be real
When you woke me
So very gently
I stumbled to bed
Embarrassed of my slumber
Upon the chests of an angel
As I crawl into bed
I can still feel your touch

Looking back, I am ashamed. But nothing you can do with a good poem but share it.
