What's that supposed to mean?

Is "I love you" supposed to fix
the ironic untruths
that you fed me back when I still
thought I could believe in you?

Is "I love you" supposed to say
that you really do
after you shattered my heart, my
trust, and my dignity?

Is "I love you" supposed to change
my mind about who you are
or stop me from walking away
before you break my heart?

"You love me can't possibly prove
that you're not a liar"
You smashed love on cold, hard concrete.
It's my turn to freeze you.

Is "I love you" supposed to mean,
something coming from you?
"I love you" isn’t supposed to mean
Anything real now, is it?

Because, baby, I just don't think
that could be any more
true than if I said, "I could hate
you, if I really tried".

And you know that can't be true.
So tell me, puppet master man,
just between us, two. "I love you,"
what's that supposed to mean?

Is "I love you", supposed to mean
you do, or just that she
doesn't pick up all the pieces
quite as well as I used to?

Please tell me what you think

    -Love the ending here..
I suggest putting "i love you" in quotations.. Makes for an easier read.. Just a suggestion! But this is lovely. ^_^
