Last Thanksgiving, I woke up at noon
I ordered pizza,
At least I was alone again
Last Christmas, I woke up at 5
To an empty room and a pile of laundry
At least I was alone again
I turned 20 last month,
In the sands of Iraq
Another year alone again
I got off the bus from Iraq today,
Families surrounded me, none mine
Of course I was alone again
Tonight I'm lying in the bathroom floor,
My blood pooling around me,
Dying all alone again
What did you think

Well, I'd of surrounded you. My best friend went to Iraq, and I was the first person he hugged when he got off the bus, and I've never felt such a hug. That was by far the most passionate emotion filled hug I've ever felt. This was stunning

This is a good poem illustrating the emotions that come with the cost of being alone. I love it. Hope you write more
