Of course he won't be in the mood to chat.
Of course he's busy.
Of course he doesn't want to talk about it.
Of course, it's what I expect.
Maybe I'm just too sensitive.
Maybe It's Maybelline.
Maybe I'm just grabbing at air.
Maybe I should snap out of it.
Maybe isn't good enough.
I don't know what else to say.

This is an incredibly powerful statement of the inside workings of many peoples' brains. I love the use of repetition to reinforce meaning and how the two stanzas are separate instead of being smooshed together. I especially enjoy the break of repetition in the final line, giving emphasis to the rest of the poem.
