The Scream Before the Death

I feel for all the lies you
screamed in my ear
While my heart stopped.

Point of weakness,
point of death.

Feeding my wounds,
tearing them wider and wider.
Pouring salt in them
and smiling maniacally while I lay dying.

"You are never enough.
No one could love you unconditionally.
You are a disappointment.
You always deserve last priority.
You sin dictates who you are.
You are nothing.
You don't deserve to be loved.
Your wounds will never heal.
You are never enough."

Your screams roared into my ear
As I laid dying at your hand.
Finally,
I see what you told me is all lies.

Lies.
Lies.
Lies.

I am enough.
I am God's child.
I am deserving of everything
the world has to offer me.
I am no disappointment.

No longer wil l your screams
linger in my ear.
You are none but a creation gone awry.

Leave my presence,
before you die in shame.

Author notes

Spoken to Satan himself.
The quote is what my wounds say to me.
